Hunterston is on the A78 between Ardrossan to the south and Largs and Fairlie to the north

By Train

Our nearest railway station is West Kilbride. There is a regular train service from Glasgow. Hunterston Castle is a 3 mile walk from the station There are no buses to Hunterston, it is advisable to book at Taxi.

Hunterston Castle is Grade 1 listed, a building of exceptional interest. As such, no alterations can be made to assist accessibility. A metal rail follows all stairways but there is no access for wheelchairs or visually impaired people.
